What she did: Posted 21 kills and 13 digs vs. Carrollton Creekview.

The stats: Also had 10 blocks and two aces against Creekview. She averages 4.4 kills per game.

Who is she? A 5-10 senior middle blocker, co-captain and four-year letterman. She was the team MVP last season.

She said it: "I love to run a quick set in the middle where the defense has no time to get set. But I've also tried to improve my ball control. I like to play with the defense's heads and hit a different kind of shot to throw them off."

Coach said it: "As a freshman on junior varsity, she was a pretty strong hitter, and I knew she had a great future. She stepped in easily and made an impact on our program. She has progressed into a great player and has trained herself to be an aggressive hitter." – Christine Gregory

Did you know? Thedford plans to officially sign with West Texas A&M on Nov. 9 and wants to pursue a degree related to law. ... She is a straight-A student and ranks in the top 10 percent of her senior class. Thedford also served as junior class president, mentors junior high students and participates in history club. ... She has played middle blocker and libero with a Dallas Skyline club team for three years. That team, which includes players from Plano West, Allen, Frisco Centennial and Lake Highlands, took third in its division at a national club tournament two years ago. ... She played beach volleyball last summer with Nikki Fowler, who plays for Plano West.
